Epsilon Sigma Alpha International recognized Sue and Jay with the Distinguished Achievement Award for Region IV Oklahoma as well as for the State of Oklahoma on April 29, 2017.  


Sue was honored as a 2016 Jim Thorpe Courage Award Winner on Thursday, September 22, 2016.  For 22 years, INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation has presented Courage Awards to "individuals who display exceptional bravery and grace through the most difficult of circumstances."

​​Sue was honored by INTEGRIS and the Oklahoma City Dodgers as a Homerun for Life Honoree on Friday, July 22, 2016. 

From the Dodgers website, "Each season, INTEGRIS Health and the Dodgers recognize five brave individuals in the Oklahoma City community who, with the help of their families, physicians and health care professionals, have overcome a significant medical event in their life. Honorees are recognized during the game and get to take a ceremonial trip around the bases, symbolizing the end of a battle against adversity."

On Saturday, August 29, 2015, Sue went skydiving at the Oklahoma Skydive Center in Cushing OK.  While fulfilling one her bucket list items, we also used this event as a platform to raise awareness and money for sepsis.  News coverage was provided by Fox 25 News, News 9 OK, the Daily Oklahoman and Inside Edition.
